Brewers Erase a 4-0 Deficit, Win Game 2 and Lead 2-0

Sal Frelick's home run tied it in the sixth, and Milwaukee went ahead in the seventh. The World Series moves to St. Petersburg for Game 3 on Monday.

The Milwaukee Brewers came from four runs down to beat the Tampa Bay Rays 5-4 in Game 2 of the World Series on Saturday night at American Family Field, taking a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. They are two wins from the first title in franchise history.

Tampa Bay scored four runs in the first inning. Milwaukee answered with two in the bottom of the first, as William Contreras and Garrett Mitchell each drove in a run, then got within 4-3 in the fourth when Cooper Pratt scored on an error by Jonathan Aranda. Sal Frelick tied it with a 408-foot solo home run in the sixth, and the Brewers took the lead with a run in the seventh.

Abner Uribe got the win, Tyler Wells took the loss, and Aaron Ashby earned his third save of the postseason. It was another comeback in a postseason full of them for Milwaukee, which also erased an early 4-0 deficit against the Dodgers in Game 4 of the NLCS, and its sixth straight postseason win at home.

Games 3 and 4 are Monday and Tuesday at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, with Game 5 there Wednesday if needed, all at 8 p.m. Eastern on FOX.
